Vassell G. O’Gilvie BSW MSW LCSW-R PC is the founder and CEO of Hudson Valley Dynamic Counseling (HVDC).  Vassell has over 25 years of experience in the field of social work covering a broad spectrum of skills and knowledge, which includes program administration, leadership, team building, conflict resolution, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and stress/anger management. Vassell also has expertise in child welfare as he worked in the past as a Supervisor and Director of Foster Cares services in various child welfare agencies. George is also a Seminar field instructor for Fordham University.

Vassell O’Gilvie received his education and clinical training in Canada and the United States. Vassell received his Associate Degree in social science from Dawson College in Montréal, Canada. He then went on to study social work at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia Canada where he served as Student Council President earning his Bachelor Degree in Social Work.  He got his Masters Degree in Social Work from Fordham University majoring in both clinical and administration.  Additionally, on March 12, 2004, Vassell received his psychotherapy license from the NYS State Education Department upon completion of the necessary requirements for licensed practitioners. Equally important, Vassell is a provider for the (OASAS) Office of Alcoholism Substance Abuse Services through the New York State.

Vassell is a vice chair of the Relationship Empowerment Affirmation Leadership Skills Network Inc (R.E.A.L) located in Poughkeepsie, NY.  R.E.A.L Skills serves as a non-profit organization working with inner city youth to provide tutoring services for children ranging from elementary to high school and counseling for college readiness.  The program is currently serving over 150 children in the Poughkeepsie, NY area and continues to grow in numbers.  He is also a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), counsel for Affordable Quality Health Care (CAQH), and a member of the National Organization of Forensic Social Work and the Dutchess County Regional Chambers of Commerce.


Tricia Holness, LCSW-R, MBA is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, licensed in the state of New York with more than 20 years of experience working with youth in the human services sector. She began her career as a direct care counselor, then moved to various positions such as social worker/family advocate, psychiatric social worker, psychotherapist, and has been in the residential field since 2002.

Tricia has held leadership roles with various institutions.  She served on the Villa of Hope’s Senior Leadership Team as Vice President of Residential and Educational Programs in Rochester, New York.  She also served as Director of Residential Services at Children’s Village, a 150-year-old youth services agency in the New York Metropolitan Area, where she oversaw all administrative and clinical responsibilities for the units, all direct care staff and training, physical environment plan, budgets and new programming development.

Tricia is the founder and CEO of Divine Counseling and Wellness Inc. Her practice focuses on the development of integrated treatment and interventions geared toward enhancing and maintaining the mental, emotional, spiritual, behavioral, social functioning and well-being of individuals, couples, families, and communities. Tricia also partners with Hudson Valley Dynamic Counseling where she offers treatment to clients struggling with Substance Abuse and Chemical Dependency. Tricia is a consultant/project manager for “The Jewish Board” a Child Services Organization servicing youth with behavioral and emotional disorders. Tricia also offers professional seminars and life coaching to both organizations and individuals seeking self-development.

Tricia holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Herbert Lehman College, Bronx, NY, a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the New York University of Social Work, New York, NY and an Executive MBA degree from Rochester Institute of Technology.
