FAQ

HVDC Clinical Process
HVDC spends time matching its clients with the right therapist so that all clients receive a treatment plan tailored specifically to their needs; this allows HVDC to offer individualized treatment plans to all of its clients. Treatment fees charged by HVDC always take into consideration each family’s financial situation and their insurance coverage. The fees we charge are affordable, allowing all families the opportunity to be treated by our team.

Do I need to make an appointment?

Yes.  Patients are typically able to be seen within a week. We will make every effort to see you on the day of your call.  The best way is to use our contact form or leave a message at 845-473-7500.

What can I expect when I come in for an appointment?

Upon arrival to the office, you will be asked to complete a brief and confidential questionnaire. You will then meet with a therapist where you can speak privately about your concerns. Both you and the therapist will work collaboratively to develop a comprehensive plan to improve your situation. Depending on your needs, you may set up additional sessions to resolve your concerns.

Will my discussion with my therapist be confidential?

Yes.  All conversation, as well as your interaction with the therapist, is kept confidential as per HIPPA guidelines. There are a few exceptions; HVDC does not communicate with anyone outside of the scope of your written consent. Click the link for more insight about our confidentiality policy.

What if I call after office hours?

If you need immediate support after hours, please call 911 in the case of an emergency. The message center will give you specific instructions on what to do.

Can I see a different therapist?

Yes. It is our goal to connect you with a therapist whom you are comfortable with. Remember, this is your decision, and it’s not up for “review.”  Please advise us, and we will make every attempt to accommodate your needs.
